Marissa definitely chose the right gown to match the dramatic Holy Rosary Cathedral Church where they were married. You can’t do a subtle walk down the aisle in the massive holy building… I mean you could but why would you want to?! As she walked down the aisle we saw Sean’s eyes water, a bite on the lip and a smile that radiated. There was our third goosebumps moment. Whether its a first look in a hotel lobby or the walk down the aisle, that moment where the groom sees his bride for the first time is so special. When I am downloading photos the next day, its the first set of images I look through!
The reception at Toledo Country Club was elegant with European flair in the details. I loved the layout of the room they chose, with their sweetheart table set in the center back of the room. White Chiavari chairs, textured black linens and chandelier hanging anywhere one could hang in the dining room, helped continue the dramatic detailing from their cathedral wedding.
We commented that we could not recall a wedding reception where we saw our bride & groom together for almost every second. It was refreshing and romantic. It resulted in so many fun photos of Marissa and Sean together on the dance floor celebrating with their people.
Thank you Marissa & Sean for kicking off our wedding season with a spectacular love! It was a joy the whole day to be there. We left with an adrenaline rush and even though it was a long day, it was hard to fall asleep that night knowing we had thousands of amazing images to look through the next day. Also a tall thank you to Marissa’s father who was just the sweetest and stood in the middle of Collingwood Boulevard to prevent my turning in to roadkill so I could get what, we jokingly called, The Money Shot… yep, it was worth the risk…
