The adjective I’d use to describe the day… SWOONworthy. Kelly’s dress was just a dream… fluttery on the bottom with the perfect modern cutout top. Love that juxtaposition. Travis looked like a gentleman with his classic vested morning coat… definitely Prince Harry vibe!
These two went against formalities for much of the day, having those typically overly orchestrated photo moments reserved to be personal between the two of them, or parents, without photography. Definitely something to think about! I’d say the First Look has become just a photo op moment where it really doesn’t need to be. I’ve been in the wedding industry since… 2005? and I’d love to see the trend of these must have moments cut way back. Reserve some of these extremely personal moments to be just that.
OK, get on with it Mary!
We went to Wildwood Metropark for photos… which I thought FOR SURE would be overly crowded, congested and lead to me having to spend hours cloning park go-ers out of their photos. We arrived right as a 1PM wedding ceremony wrapped and the place was like a ghost town. AHHHHH a total dream. Pinch me. So happy I was wrong! Obsessed with the photos we captured at the Manor House.
Their ceremony was full of equally personalized formalities and readings… when so much time is put into creating a visually lovely space for a ceremony, it is really appreciated when the ceremony isn’t rushed. Another rariety!
Kelly and Travis put so much thought into the details and experiences for her guests to enjoy. I loved the little stations in Carranor’s “mingling room” where guests ate their cake, wrote a letter to the couple on a type writer, left them notes in a flower coffee table book, and enjoyed personalized artwork from a caricature artist!
Finally… sunset. Oh yeah, pastel, golden hour. Kelly left her train out to create some more magical drama as the sky in Perrysburg turned those amazing purple-orange-pink colors that we all soaked up. I prolonged our time there as long as I could. So happy we left the venue to pop over to Riverside Park!
Congrats you two!
