Their wedding day was all about bringing together their two families, with six kids in total. They didn’t do a first look or have a traditional bridal party of adult friends. They were married by their best friend and their bridal party consisted of their 6 kids. Their unity candle was a group effort, a joining of two families. But of all the touching family moments that took place during the ceremony, the most impactful was that Casey’s mom, did the readings and announced them as married… through audio captured at other weddings she officiated. Casey’s mom passed away a few years ago but having her voice actually be the one to announce them as married was one of the most touching moments I’ve ever captured as a wedding photographer in the 15+ years I’ve been in this industry.
On with the pictures… Casey looked an absolute DREAM in her Monique Lhuillier floral blue and white gown made me gasp. The blues and white were an homage to her Greek heritage that carried over to the next day’s Greek brunch full of delicious food, authentic Greek band and blue and white flowers throughout.
Cheers to making your own definition of traditional.
Congrats to all SIX of you! It was a pleasure to spend 3 days with your crew.
